DECISION
“And then they were two (and a half)" would Agatha Christie say.
We have Lucca left and Roma+Frascati in the Castelli Romani, so close to each other.
Lucca has many reasons to be loved like f.ex. its history, its beauty, its walls around town and the passegiata, its culture, its closeness to the sea and to all the tuscan villages. We did visit 6 houses to get to know the real estate market, all worth moving to (allthough 2 were way too big).
Frascati in the Castelli Romani is small but 25 minutes away from Rome (Termini station) with a comfortable train; has an inviting passegiata in the shade of majestic trees and many other reasons to be loved (excellent pasta being one). However it is rather small and is on the list because its nearness to Rome.
The Eternal City is, well, eternal because of all the ruins everywhere do relentlessly remind us of its 27 centuries of history.

All have pros and contras… we made a long list, with lines and columns, and stars, 1 and 2 and 3... so what did we chose ?
And the winner is ………
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind; oops wrong text. The answer is at the end of the French text as I did not wish to cause a "spoiler alert".
If you write “english” in the language widget top left (which apparently you do not see if you read this blog on a smartphone) you will not have to wait until the last sentence to know the answer ( I am having fun being a little tiny bit sadistic today)
And the winner is …. drum roll … Roma/Frascati.
We do not know yet which one exactly (appartment in Rome or house with yard in Frascati) but at least we know what AREA as they are just 15 km from each other.
Now, let"s start next chapter.
BREAKING NEWS at the very end of this article ........ DERNIERE MINUTE en fin d"article .......
PHOTOS DE ROME
MOSAIQUE OF FRASCATI
Passegiata, empty at noon, full at evening.
Attenti ai Cani , indeed, watch out not to wake them, attention de ne pas les reveiller
I have no clue why there is so much space between the pictures while there is not even one tiny space while I write it. I am typing on someone else"s laptop. There must be a secret reason.

BREAKING NEWS - DERNIERES NOUVELLES - BREAKING NEWS
We decided to rent an (small) appartment for 1 year in the centre of Rome from half september onwards, last floor with a terrace and a view, as to know if we love to live IN the city or if we will miss having a yard in which case we"ll move to Frascati later.
